In recent years he has established himself internationally, building extensive experience in both the symphonic and operatic repertoire. Since 2018 he has served as Music Director of the Israel Sinfonietta Be’er Sheva and, since 2014, of the Southwest Florida Symphony. After graduating from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, he worked as répétiteur and chorus master at the Wiener Staatsoper and the Salzburg Festival. He subsequently served as assistant to the Music Director of the Teatro Real in Madrid and as personal assistant to Zubin Mehta at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. He has collaborated with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa, Valery Gergiev and Riccardo Muti, and with soloists including Lang Lang, Plácido Domingo, Joyce DiDonato, Angel Joy Blue, Vadim Repin, Gilles Apap, Hélène Grimaud and André Watts. He has conducted numerous international orchestras, including the Israel, Tokyo, Zagreb, Belgrade and Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestras, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, the Chamber Orchestras of Philadelphia, Mantua, Lausanne and Vienna, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, the Orchestre National du Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, the Bochumer Symphoniker, the Jerusalem Symphony and the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla. His operatic and ballet experience includes productions at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Real in Madrid, Israeli Opera, Opéra de Lausanne, New National Theatre Tokyo, Bregenz Festival, Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago and Teatro San Carlo in Naples. He is fluent in Hebrew, English, Italian, German and Spanish.
