He has been the Music Director of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano since September 2024. In the 2025/26 season, he made his debut at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to critical acclaim, conducting Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera. Alongside his operatic engagements, he has built a solid international career on the symphonic podium.His most recent debuts include performances with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C. and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also conducted the Filarmonica della Scala, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, the Helsinki Philharmonic, the Dresden Philharmonie, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Wiener Symphoniker, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, and the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester. Additionally, he led the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien in a concert version of Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus at the Musikverein in Graz.Before pursuing a career as a conductor, he established an international reputation as a solo violinist, performing in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. He plays an Antonio Stradivari violin from 1698, generously on loan from a patron through the Beare’s International Violin Society.He is a recipient of the prestigious Abbiati Prize and an OPUS Klassik Award. He has released several recordings both as a violinist and as a conductor, and is deeply committed to supporting the younger generations of musicians..
